hey guys, im just getting into the scene and was looking at a 1990 Integra. It has the b18, with a b16 type r head. i was wondering about how much power that would make?

well stock, that b18 makes about 130 if its running perfect. So with a type r head you can expect to gain some maybe like 20 or 30. Since you've still got the b18 block its not going to be a major gain. I'm just guessing but I'd say about 150 to 160 and idk if that engine has got anything else like cams or new intake mani or throttle body. We need pics and more info

all i know for sure right now is that the engine is fairly newly rebuilt, its got about 5000mi on it. ill get more info as i go about the process, i was just curious about what kind of power to expect. anything is a gain for me, ive been driving a 2.2l s10 with about 110 hp around. haha ill be sure to get pics soon. thanks for the feedback guys.

Google "poor mans type r"

tons of info. And for a more accurate number you'd need to know if the CR was raised/lowered, what cams, ecu flash, ect

Well as far as stock LS motors it's

130hp to the crank - 90-93
140hp to the crank - 94-01

with LS-vtec it's all dependent on what's been done to the top and low end of the motor along with a tune
