I have a summit battery box that I'm using to relocate it to the trunk. It is a sealed box that is nhra approved.

I would use caution when designing a battery box, this can be a big safety concern. I only paid about 100 bucks for my kit, not a bad price.

might seem "pricey" but in the grand scheme of things if it isnt done correctly...think of the repair bill to fix it up... and something that is nhra approved for $100 is a pretty good deal..some kid that comes to a car meet in my area did a rewire in a eg hatch and it cost him his soul to fix it..

It doesn't come with just a box, it comes with brackets to mount it, a new battery tie down, new connectors, wires to run from the front of the car to the trunk. It's complete.

I also want to point out that batteries emit some gas, and the battery must be sealed if in the passenger compartment to prevent the driver from inhaling them.
