My Alpine 7893 has a problem....no sound coming out of the speaker wires, but the RCA outputs are fine.
When I worked as an installer, we sold Alpine, and we sent bad head unit's to a place in N.Y. called United Radio....they did all Alpine's warranty work, still do I believe. So I called them about my Alpine, and they told me it's too old for them to work on (it's from 2002), they can't get any parts for it so they won't fix it. I was amazed, they didn't even ask me what was wrong with it! What if it only needed some common generic part like a resistor or a capacitor or something. Oh well, whatever....so don't take my money, lol.
So I did some Googleing and found this place called Sound Repair in Florida. I sent them a few emails telling them what I got, what's wrong with it ect, they responded in a fairly timely manner, answered my Q's, so I shipped them my 7893 today. I'll let you guys know how everything goes as far as price, turnaround time, contact with me, ect. It's $60 just for them to look at it, and he estimated by what I said was wrong with it the total may be around $85-95.
