You gotta pay to play dude. Being impatient, not prepared, putting little effort into research, with a build is dangerous. Imagine being impatient and 'forgetting' to re-route oil for your turbo because you were to impatient, you would be pretty much fuxked. Good luck.

Yes you can turbo your car stock. The first thing anyone should do before using their turbo car on the road is to tune it. Tuning the ecu to compensate for the more power upgrades you just added. If you don't then your car's brain (the ecu) will think it's stock and wonder why the hell is there so much air being pushed into the intake manifold. Or another example, you add cams and call it a day. Your car ecu will shoot the same stock rated gas through your injectors, but probably wont match with the demand flow that the camshaft's deserve.

So in reality Yes you can put a turbo, we recommend having a tune after wards. Yes you can put cams later, a tune is recommended after that upgrade.

what would be a smart set up....

Recommendation for kinds of turbo - I know greddy makes a carb legal turbo for the b18's check up with them if they have anything for a b20. (this is if you live in cali and want to be legal).

Smart set up - Preparation is an important key to your build. If I were you, instead of saying its a fresh b20b from hmotors, I would do a compression test and a leak down test on it to make sure it really is fresh. In the mean time clean your motor, and prepare it for your turbo build. If it isn't as fresh as you thought it was, meaning your compression test didn't look so good then spend some time fixing what you need.

Honestly a"smart set up" too me is a fully built engine. I know not every one has the money for that but you have to do what you can to make your car perform as well as be reliable if your boosting or n/a. Research. <---That's the foundation for any motor build.

the one question that was never answered was can you use turbo cams on a non-turbo engine. I was curious of the same thing. I would assume that I could do this, but I would like a direct answer before I do it... I would probably be running cams for about a month before buying a turbo set up.

yeah thats what i was thinking except i would have to wait a couple months

turbo kits cost like 3000!!! for a good one righT?
