Noob=\So i drive a 91 ls with a 97 ls swap. it doesnt have a slave so its obviousley cable. the 97 came with a hydro so im trying to figure out what clutch to buy for my car. my throw out bearing is bad and my clutch is toast. i ithink its the transmission from thge original b18a. if i buy a clutch for a b18a and it ends up being a b18b tranny, will the clutches match?

Just because the motor was swapped doesnt mean the transmission was. The transmissions all bolt up the same, and yours probably was not replaced.

It will match if the b18a clutch is from a 92-93. 91-92 b18a clutches had a smaller diameter spline for the clutch disc.

If it is cable operated then it is from a B18A. The B18B1 is hydraulic

this is correct, so now you have to make sure that the cable trans in the car is the original one from your car and then you will buy a clutch made for your car
