how fast were u going when u hit the manhole. if it wasnt but a couple of miles an hour then u should be perfectly fine with ur frame. unless u have rust that has been covered up there shouldnt have been any real damage maybe bent the end alittle but mine r where it was wrecked n i dont have that problem and im hard on my car. i would look at ur mounts n see if one was busted n it shifted when u hit the manhole that sounds like a good possibility. if not then u might want to check n see if something is jamming ur axle when u let it off the jack. good luck ill keep checking to see what u find out.

ok so i just got it back from the shop on wed and got screwed outta 300... to get it towed there and back and labor costs 169 sumthing for labor and 65 bux each way for tow....sweet they told me that they would have to put it on a frame machine.... atleast 400 bux to do that and they told me they would have to replace the springs all the way around and change tires and god knows what else to make it STOCK agaain...HA needless to say that sucked. So ive been thinking of different ways to go about this and 1st i was thinking tension bar i could tighten that up or replace my transmission mounts one is supposedley bad the shop said but that wouldnt cause my tranny to move side to side just up and down..... but i found a thread today about cv axles from discount, he said there axels from discount were 23' 1/4 and the one he got from hmotors was 24'1/4'' so now friday morning ill be on the phone ordering me an axel with the difference of my PROBLEM!!! hopefully solution soon!!

Bad engine mounts will blow out cv's

I would check the following

engine mounts
make sure the axles sit at the correct angle.

I didn't read where have u gotten the axles from? What brand are they?
