Lights dim...

When I come to a stop light and my rpms drop below 900 to 1000 the head lights dim a bit, as do the interior lights. When I tap the accelerator and the rpms go back up the lights brighten again.
I went ahead and ordered a grounding kit just to see if it'll help. I think that as old as the car is it will benefit it none the less. Thoughts?

A grounding kit will defintely help with your headlights and other electronics. Which one did you order?

Just ordered a no name ebay kit...if it shows any signs of improvement I'll get a better one.
The only one I really know of is the HKS kit, and I think I saw one by Sun-Cyber(they guys that do the Evo) but it wasn't under that namesake.
You have a company in mind?

If you don't have any other issues, then a grounding kit will help with that.

But if you have a weak alternator, that can cause it as well.

I upgraded all of my engine grounds and power wires. My lights still "flicker" when Im at idle. I equate it to being a wimpy ass 70A alternator.

I havent upgraded mine, as I probably should. From the little research I have done, the only place I have come across is Alterstart on eBay. I also came across a thread, i believe on honda-tech, about a person upgrading to a 170A alternator. I think 130 would be suitable unless you plan on having a loud system.

It may also be that the alternator is going out, not providing a constant charge at lower RPMs, and just needs replacement. I guess the thing here would be to weigh the cost of a high output vs stock.
