It's a rattle, no ticking at all. It's in the front of the car. Sounds like its coming out of my center console almost.

I'm taking off Monday for that. Well technically taking off to recover from the severe hangover that will be induced by Sunday's activities

nikon s220. I got it for $100 with a 4 gig memory card from Craigslist! I was all looking @ costco to buy a camera and it hit me "i always check craigslist for car stuff why not check up for a camera".Nice picture Jayson. What kind of camera are you using?
And at least you know the mileage on your carIve got a GSR with a LS swap, and the cluster is swapped too, meaning no valid registry of the mileage.
haahah yah jason i know how you feel. My other ls has a gsr that was said to have "45k" miles on it.

It is a manual. I don't think its the exhaust hitting the shifter. I'm just going to start putting my parts in and see if it goes away. First thing on my list is the exhaust, then the headers. Its just weird cuz it does it about 80%of the time and only between 3000 and 3500 rpms.

Hey are you talking about a little rattle noise from 3-3.5k rpm? I had the same problem on my 99 stock gsr

hahaahah yeah i know how you feel. I bought my gsr and it was like that it bugged me too! I know exactly how to fix it! The problem is that you have a cracked exhaust manifold. I read your upgrades list and you stated that you're going to upgrade to aftermarket headers somewhere in the future, You should be fine
. Unfortunately I temporarily 'fixed' the sound by welding the manifold until I get aftermarket headers. In the mean time don't even worry :lol: oops I accidentally clicked the thumbs down icon instead of the thumbs up. my bad xD
