sorry for hijacking your thread for a second

I do wanna go turbo myself so much on my B18C but Im really worried about MPG after tuning... I would invest in to my build but Im afraid of dam low MPG after as it would be DD car all day long when Im in... have to travel some good distances sometimes...

what should I possibly expect from 300-400 bhp MPG vise?

thanks

Looks like a solid build. I wouldnt get the aem fuel rail man. The stock one on hondas is completely fine to use and wont make a difference, also I would go with the 1000cc. The reasoning behind it is solely due to if you decided to crank the boost up.....I made the mistake of buying injectors that just were enough now that im wanting more power I have to get larger ones.

ok guys but what about MPG on your boosted motors?

What is average MPG u get of your setups if you have ever measured/checked...

Im on 24MPG with my stock setup ... (of course if Im driving soft as not hitting vtec and trying to keep rpm under 3.5k...)
and 18MPG if constantly having fun while driving..

so just want to share this info with you and see what do u guys have with yours

looks like a solid build with good parts. 1000cc might be a little too big 750cc should be fine. as for MPG i get about 350-400 per tank on my boost DB1, i used to get about 450. hope this helps G/L with your build:thumbs up

forgot to mention is a b18c1 with gt 3076, 885cc,built bottom,port/polish,5angle valve job,etc

I would like to know about mpg too... Ive heard you get more with a turbo setup as long as you dont beat the f!@# out of it lol

bro do you have a good security system? it doesn't matter if you park your car in the garage, along with all those parts you listed you should have it all on lock down.

Accel.speed

basically, i like fast!
Yeah I was talking to a mechanic about getting my turbo. He said that you will want to get (i forget the name) injectors, because they run cooler and thats better for your engine. And that they should be about 550cc. Which I've been told that you get a different 'cc' because you need to put more gas in the engine. Which would cause less MPG... :( Is that right? And he also told me that I needed to get a new (aftermarket) fuel pump. WHich i would guess because of the more fuel that needs to come in... Is all this right? I need more gas saved... im 16 lol

Take a look at the Injector Dynamics 725cc rather than the rc550 imho if you think the 1000s are too much.. The 1000s are more than you need for your setup currently, but with a sleeved block you might need them in the future. Buying one set up injectors now might be a smart choice rather than selling what you have to upgrade later.

fyi I used to get 33-34mpg in my boosted 96 hatch (LS w/pistons and rods, just a hair under 300whp). It all depends how you drive, being boosted certainly does not mean you cant get decent mileage if the tune is good.

you will need a better fuel pump like walbro 255. if you are 16 and on a budget and have to think about saving gas dont go boost!!! good set up with quality parts gonna cost you built, and its gonna cost to maintain the car unless you are machinicall inclind. in your case dont seem like you are. g/l w/e you choose to do:)
