Which b17a1 pistons for boost??

im rebiulding my b17 for boost whats the best pistons to get . i read that it has 9.7.1 comp. and that it can take it? what do u guys think

A guy i know was running a b16 with boost for 3 or 4 months and then his bottom end went. I guess its all in how you set it up they say the b18a1 ls motor is ok with 5-8 psi of boost that at 9.2.1 i would go lower like 8.5.1. My wife wants to boost her 91 teggy and i'm look at twin turbos for my 300zx

You will be fine. Higher compression engines are a little more difficult to tune, but that's in tHe upper hp numbers. If you are not going to build the motor, you won't be reaching the numbers that would make it difficult to tune.

Try weisco they stock b17 pistons they could manchine them for boost if you have the cake.

Get some forged pistons (Wiseco, Eagle) with a comp ratio of 8.5-9.0:1, forged rods(Eagle H-beam), sleeve the block and boost the piss out of it.

well my crank is no good the shop said thay cant find berings to fit after thay shave it .30 so i may go b20v or ls\vtec idk yet what yall think
