1994 LS 4door - Stock everything - head unit to (really tired) speakers.

Rear- left channel not working. Is this a common problem? I am planning on changing the speakers as soon as I receive them.

Is there a fuse in the head unit that could have been blown? Or an inline fuse in the speaker wire? The Speaker could be blown also.

Just thought I would post and get some opinions.

I plan on changing the head unit as money allows. Anyone have a CD unit with front aux and USB inputs they wanna unload?

Probably bad speaker. From what I know, the speakers are hooked directly to the headunit. They do not go through the fuse box or through any fuse for that matter. The radio's fuse is the safety system for that.

I would suggest testing the speaker, to single out the issue. Switch the 6x9 on the non working side for the one on the working side. See if the problem is that corner, or that speaker.

if you dont have a multi meter, hook the speaker to a 9v battery

open up the little side panel with a flat head (not the whole thing, just the part where the speaker is) just to check if your speaker is blown.

He has a DB. The speaker is mounted in a different location, a bit more difficult to access. Its on the panel behind the rear seat that faces up to the rear window.

Switching the wires, or a multimeter if you have one, are still the easiest ways to check to see if the speaker is the issue.
