Just ordered them today! I really like how the slips look on integras with the full polish. They will be going on a fresh set of Azenis rt-615's. I'll take some pics as soon as I get them, but for now...here's what they look like.

BTW my blades will be up for sale here soon! So let me know if you are interested!! :D

Oh no!

Blades > Slips IMO
Yea, i'm afraid I might get that a lot...however my blades are getting oxidized and have some curb rash. Yes I looked into getting them refinished and doing it myself...but I was told over and over that they wouldn't turn out how I wanted them to. And getting them refinished professionally would cost me like $120 per rim. And that's at cost for a body shop. I searched around for some other options and I like how these look. Yes I love my blades...but maybe this will be a nice change? :)

Do you already have the RT-615's? I've heard nothing but complaints from people here who have run them.
They get greasy really fast on the track after a few laps, cold/wet traction blows..basically just a very narrow window of grip haha.
Although apparently when they're bald, they work great as slicks hahaha.

The RT-615 is a great street tire. It was never meant to be a track tire. They work pretty well in the rain IMO.

I guess if it's ONLY going to see the street then why not. The price is certainly attractive.
Personally, I've always been a fan of Potenza's and when I get new wheels, I'll definitely be considering some RE-11's.

Personally, I would agree.

This is true.

You can't compare the RT-615 to the RE-11. They're in two different categories. Personally, I would opt for the Advan Neova AD08. My second choice would be the RE-11.

Lol where did I compare them? I'm not considering the RT-615's, merely stating what I've heard from a bunch of local guys, and that for myself, I'll be looking to pick up some Potenza's or something comparable as I would like to start tracking my DB2 once I take care of a few things. ;)
I've also heard that the RT-615's wear out crazy fast but again, that's probably from the local guys here who have run them on the track.

lol very funny...not my red civic. I do think the slips look bad-ass on that car though. I hope they look good on my teg...I think they will. :)

I had my first set of 615's on my car after I turboed it...I don't auto cross and haven't been to 1/4 mile strip yet. But as far as on the street they hook quite well! And i can get them at cost so they're even cheaper! :D. I did look into the RE11's but for now...i'm gonna stick with what I know will give me traction.

Makes sense! I have heard good things about their street manners, they just get a bad rep around here because a lot of people track their cars on them.
Hell, if my friend at Mitsu can get me a sick price on them, I'd probably end up going with them in the end too.
I don't know how wise it would be for me to spend the money on RE-11's when we have snow half of the year or longer and the only local track we have is a small one that's primary use is for crotch rockets. :|

My bad. I didn't read your first post completely. I thought you bought the red EJ. You'll be fine with the RT-615. They're the best street tires for the buck IMO.
