Right..CC's signature's are limited to 500 excluding vB code. And yeah whover is bothered can just turn them all off.

thats right.
There is a size limit, 500x100 is the largest size for a signature picture that u can have I know cuz I tried for hours (well, 5 mins) to make mine small enough, before I found the secret lol

But yea thats why mine is so small. Yet some people seem to get around it with some massive pics.

Its size vs KB used. People with super low res shots, that are massive sneak through the cracks I believe.
One option I think would be nice, that I have seen other website use, is that the signature appears the first time a user posts in a thread, but any subsequent posts the signature will not appear.

on some forums, it automatically resizes the signature. but when you click on them, it will bring up another box that will allow you to view the signature in its full size.

it also depends on display resolution of your computer. on my imac desktop, the signature appears fine and everyones signature is not too big, but when im at a friends house who uses a PC, they seem to be huge. even mine.

It would be nice to have some signature rules on here. Here is what CC has...
Signatures and avatars may be used within the following guidelines. You may only include images that are work-safe, and you must keep it limited to one image sized 500 X 100 (or smaller) (no larger than 35k). We also ask that you limit your avatar size to 100 X 100 (no larger than 15k), failure to do so will result in it being removed. Any signature created with a disrespectful tone will be removed and may result in warnings and or banning.

We should just PM people that have sigs to large and ask them to change, if they dont we will just edit it. Basically just use our discretion on it. Because unless the forum itself can only allow you to have have X lines of text were going to end up just using our discretion anyways.
