an intake, no matter how well designed, isn't gonna make any improvements worth noting. your "better launch" might have just been the clutch grabbing a little better.

yes, there are some kinds of intakes out there that make good power, but they are VERY well thought out designs, that are likely gonna cost more than most are willing to pay.
the average "on the market" intake, be it short ram or cold air, isn't going to net you more than 2hp, i don't care what brand it is. its been tested and proven. even the "really well designed" and flowbench proven intakes out there, aren't going to make a difference, honestly. its just going to look better, and sound more aggressive. it helps, yes. but not in the sense some are expecting it to. an intake will only yield dramatic differences in power numbers when paired with a built motor that REQUIRES better flowing intake. stock motors with an aftermarket intake will just make more noise. BUILT motors with an intake will make more POWER.
