just love how it sounds!

Toyota put 9+ years into the R&D for that car. A 4.8-liter V10 that revs from idle to 9krpm in less time than it takes to blink Don't forget the CFRP body and that super trick gauge panel. Not to mention that anything else that you can buy that can match the stats of this car will cost ~$100k more.O.................ver.................priced............
Sure it cost alot to make, sure its a great engine, sure Toyota will lose money. But its still slower than its cheaper rivals like the Ferrari 599, 0-60 .3 seconds faster, higher top speed, more hp and tq, and a relative bargain at $75k less! Thats not counting the dealer mark-up the LFA will surely have.Toyota put 9+ years into the R&D for that car. And Toyota is actually losing money and each one they sell. I believe it's a fair price.
I'm holding out for the successor to the NSX :lol:Sure it cost alot to make, sure its a great engine, sure Toyota will lose money. How about the Murcielago LP640? May only be $10k cheaper but its still beats the LFA by .4 seconds 0-60, higher top speed, again more hp and tq, and (imo) much better looking.
Thats just two quick examples, I could keep going really....Zr1, Noble M400, Noble M15, and the Ford GT to name a few more. I mean shit, Ford GT still costs less and beats it in the big categories...... Its a great technical car, thats about it. If your going to build a car that you lose money on do it right and at least blitz everyone (at least in your price class) like the Veyron did.
But yea, great car, no doubt, but if it was my $ there is no way in hell id get it. This car will be bought by people who probably already have one of the cars that out preform it for less. Its certainly not the first choice in its category.
'nuff said. Even if I did have the money though I'd buy a much more affordable(relatively) 458 Italia.Sure it cost alot to make, sure its a great engine, sure Toyota will lose money. Yep, and the LFA is still a very impressive piece of engineering (even if it is expensive).'nuff said. Even if I did have the money though I'd buy a much more affordable(relatively) 458 Italia.
but give Toyota credit, this is their first venture into the segment. Ferrari and Lamborghini have been doing it for decades. The first of their kind was uber expensive too.
Yup. Maybe they can still redeem themselves by remaking the Supra. I just expect ALOT more from a company as big as Toyota. Shit they own an entire city! They have had a Formula 1 team for awhile! Yet they had no sports cars. Toyota is still a fail in my book until I see a decent sports line-up. There is no excuse, sure the sport lines dont turn as big of profits, but everyone else manages to do it. Even without the epic sales of the standard commuter segments like Toyota has.Yep, and the LFA is still a very impressive piece of engineering (even if it is expensive).
i think it will come out after we save all our penniesI'm holding out for the successor to the NSX
