Blower motor resistor values?...

Here's one from out in left field. Does anybody know-- or have any suggestions as to how to find-- the various values of the resistors for the blower motor resistor assembly? I can't find a replacement for less than forty bucks, so I figured if I could get close on the values, I could just solder in some high-wattage ceramics to replace the coils that are burned and get my low fan speeds back. Any ideas? (92 LS).

Thanks....

I admire you're ambition, Here is an easy way to figure this out. Take a volt meter and turn it ohm obviously and put it to the coils that are workin and go off that. IE: High(max speed) 10 ohm, 8 ohm, 6 ohm and so on. I did this to my spot light to make it less bright when i delivered pizza's

Appreciate the replies. Good suggestion on starting with the known values on the "still good" coils and going from there. I believe I've got a pretty good stash of power resistors somewhere, or I may just try my resistor sub box and see which values work best. Of course, since the daily high temps have now dropped into the 20's here, not having the low blower speeds is less of a priority...

Who am I kidding; I'll probably break down and order the part from the oem place...:???:

Cheers y'all.
