need help, stuck, tranny and block , how do you do it?

what up everybody. Ok so i looked through the forums as long as i can stand. If theres a thread that answers this send me to it. Im trying to pull my motor out with the trans still bolted and theres a few things a i dont understand. I know i need a special tool for the lower arm susp. ball joint. but i have alot of books on building, rebuilding dissembly and performance upgrades for my car but i cant find in detail exactly how to take it all out without unhooking it from the long block. Ive went over the dissesembly instructions many many times and cant seem to figure out how to take it all out. What is a damper fork, how do i disconect the driveshaft, and how do i disconect shift rod and exstention rod. Oh and the clutch slave cylider and pipe hose assembly? LIke i said i dont have a clue and the more i google the more aggravated i get. I guess im not searching for the right thing. Anyways if anyone knows how to do what im trying to do or if they can even sent me somthing to exsplain step by step that would be really awsome. Untlll them ill be reading and trying to figure it out under the car. Thanks peeps

By the way i have a b18 b1. So i went to auto zone and got the tool for the lower susp. arm. NOW, i have to take the drive shaft out.???? I got one of the hookups of the shift linkage unhooked Im not sure if its the shift rod or exstention rod... But the only thing keeping the motor from coming out of the car is the axle, suspension arm cv joint stuff. Im still trying to find out the best way to disassemble all that stuff. Im so stoked about rebuilding the engine. Almost there.

So wait, you're saying that your tranny is stuck to the block right?

First of all, make sure you've removed ALL the bolts(I know it sounds stupid, and I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but it's a common mistake). Step 2: find a BFH and do work..

^^Yep. Once you break the seal @ the trans and block, the trans needs to slide out & down towards the passenger side suspension. There's a spindle that needs to clear the clutch and flywheel. It should be easy to move, if it's not you probably missed a mount or bolt(s).

Hes trying to pull it out all in one piece, at least thats what i got from it. I think he wants to split the block and tranny outside of the car, on a cherry picker or something...am i right?
