1991 Acura Integra GS
well guys/girls my name is Justin Powell. I've been a dirt road racer since i was a kid but for the last few years ive been trying to learn how to build and operate on tarmac. lol.
so i recently traded my non-operable 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE for a 1991 Acura Integra GS four door.
it has a pretty bad oil leak and a tranmission problem. it would seem that it lacks a third gear(its automatic). from qwhat i can tell first and second operate fine and so does S4 but when i leave it in drive and im cruising at around 20-25MPH it seem like it goes into nuetral and takes forever to find gear. and if you try to run it in S3 its like its in nuetral. so im gonna guess its an internal problem. also in reverse it makes a clicking noice on the right side of the engine bay.
it also leaks tranny fluid. so i ordered a rebuild kit and im going to have that done by january. umm the distributer kind of makes a squeking sound.... its wierd.
the guy that had it before me also has the fan rigged up. but i can easily fix that.
i have a large list of parts for this car and i plan on having it done by 2011 but that depends on college and how much work i can do.
for the record im certified by my college for autmotive service technology(emission systems), suspension and steering, and brakes.
next semester ill be certified for automatic and manual transmissions and drive axles. then heating and cooling, then electrical and engine repair. im also working on A.S.E. certification.
I hope to hear from someone soon and i hope to do acura some justice lol.
