:welcome: I like the wing personally. We only have a single header on our cars. If you have a B16 ecu you need to get a B18A1 ecu quickly, you're probably running lean and doing lots of damage to that motor.

I'm also interested in this... cause I'm running a B20 with my B18 ecu just fine and I havent gotten any lean problems..... :what:


FYI: for everyone that believes this will lean out your car running a ecu designed for the smaller engine, you are wrong.

OBD1-The O2 sensor will see that the engine is running a little (if at all) lean and will tell the short term fuel trims to add more fuel till it sees the correct amount of O2 coming out in the exhaust gases. It will stay at that level for a while, then the long term fuel trims will adapt, and your car will still run smooth and fine.

OBD2-The short term fuel trims will adjust to what the O2 sensor's see necessary for proper catalytic converter efficientcy... If the O2 sensors see that the cat is burning too hot (lean conditions) it will tell the short term fuel trims to add fuel so it burns correctly (Neutral). From there, like in OBD1, the short term will stay at that level for so long, till the Long Term adapts and changes to the new required level, and you will not have problems.

no where in any of this is there damage done to the motor from running lean, because the O2 sensors will see lean conditions the second your ECU comes out of Open Loop, instantly making the adjustments and saving them to its memory.

AKA. you shouldn't have problems with this small of a engine displacement change.

(unless I'm just confused and it's a B16 in there. Either way, people should know this. lol)

BigMac didn't know you had a VTEC motor in that thing. Your ECU should be fine.

I'm pretty sure the bumper is a direct swap. Just make sure you get new turn signals, of course.

As long as you have coolant in there before it freezes outside, you wont have a problem. only reason cars have coolant instead of water is for stupid people like me that live in wisconsin, or other northern states/countries where it gets to below freezing. Coolant usually doesnt freeze till -30 degrees, so its just helping you not crack your block

Yes, the bumper is a direct swap as far as I knew.

And your car is eating fuel because of that B16. lol

Short geared trans + vtec = gas mileage out the window.

yeah i started doin my research and yeah its good but its burning fuel i think cuz some of the injectors are spraying correctly and its prolly running super rich
another question does anyone know if the o2 sensor is supposed to be a 2 wire or 1 wire? its obd0, but i was told still has to be a 2 wire otherwise vtec wont hit or a 4 wire?
