jdm one piece high beam problem

so as i was driving home from work as of right now i keep my hi beams on becuz it seems as if the h4h kick in when i put the hi beams on and as of regular "hi beams off" its hella low light...well since i put my hi beams on only the driver side light works and i dont know why...it took a while to put my jdm one pieces on anyways and hope i did the wiring right since i did cut the harnesses and put the new one in becuz it was the right now...well i will post pics up soon and if anyone can help me thanks

maybe just a wiring problem.
i hate one peice lights...
had on on my 94 accord... rediculus wiring
oem is way better.

First test of seeing if you did it right, switch the bulbs. Put the ones that work int he opposite headlight. If they still dont work, it looks like you are redoing some wiring. If it does work, you simply have a bad bulb.

They weren't changed to one piece. The USDM market only got the 3 piece set up. The one piece is a JDM g2 headlight.
They really aren't that much more difficult than the separate high beam and low beam head lights, just a little different.

Op, you should have invested the $25 in PasswordJDM plug and play harnesses for the headlight swap.

becuz what i had done was buy some h4h bulbs and whatnot and i bought the lights from jdmcarboy and when i got them it came with the different plug in "i dont know how to explain" but it wasnt straight as my stock lights so what i did was go to autozone and bought the harnesses that would fit the h4 bulbs so it would fit my h4h bulbs and i cut and wired the wires together...from the new harnesses i bought came with black/red/green wires and my stock ones were different so i looked on g2ic.com for the wiring and thats how i based my wiring connection upon

So is it messed up wiring? Or is the bulb at fault?

The answer seems pretty clear, and I stated what you needed to do in my last post. If the bulb that is working, does not work in the other light, then you have a wiring issue. You need to re-evaluate how you did your wiring, and made sure you did it properly. We cant see your wiring harness, not take a multimeter to the socket to see if its getting power. You need to figure out where the fault in the wiring is, and correct it.

wait so your saying is that if my lights "bulb works for my regular "no hi beams on" then it should be my wiring?/ becuz my lights do work but then for my hi beams only my right side gets brighter and my passenger side seams to get dimmer and lighter and not get brighter..

I dont understand this.

I am under the impressiont that:

Driver side bulb works
Passenger side bulb does not work
_________________________________
If that is the case, to rule out the BULB being the problem, alternate bulbs frm one side to the other. If the light that did not work, now works, then the bulb is the issue.

On the other hand, if there was no change, and the bulb that illuminated, still does not work in the opposite light, then the wiring is the problem.

Your new statement, though it is hard to understand...
It sounds like the bulb works, but does not put out as much light as the other bulb. You wiring is at fault in this case.

yeah ok thanks bro becuz that is the problem right now ^^^^ it doenst put as much light as the other bulb when i put the hi beams on so ima have to check upon that this weekend....
