Running hot at start?

Trying to figure out what sensor might be causing this... as soon as I start my 92 auto the temp gauge goes almost right to hot. I replaced the temp sensor under the disributor but still same problem. Is there another sensor that could be causing this? Thanks in advance!

did you buy a new sensor? could be a bad thermostat

new sensor installed. Good call on the thermostat. I'll try swapping that... might be getting some air caught up next to the sensor...

sound like your temp guage has a bad ground also check the wire to your temp sensor

Any idea on where I could find this ground? I'll check the wiring on the sensor... I think it just runs right into the engine harness so not sure how far I will get on this...
