i just ordered them along with a new short shifter.ive never used them,and i was curious how much a difference they make.if you like em,hate em....let me know.thanks.

I have them, I like them. Mine are with an OEM shifter, but it has a nice smooth shift. Anything is better than your stock almost 20 year old bushings.

Don't mean to thread jack but would old bushing lead to the shifter vibrating and making an annoying rattling sound?

It could, the more likely reason for your shifter moving is a bad motor mount. Check those too.

Hmm I'll have to look at the mounts tomorrow. Also the shift linkage has a lot of play where it connects to the bottom of the short shifter. I'm thinking that's what it probably is.

I installed my shifter bushings last week. got them for 6 bucks, whoooo. feels way better than the old bushings.

any problems installing them? the round one more specifically.

nope, took about 20 minutes. used a flat head to pry out the round one. just make sure to reuse the metal shims in the stock shifter bushing and place them in the new bushing. I didn't notice and had to take it all apart and slap it in. you will know what I'm talking about once you take it apart.
