yeah. i just want something faster. i dont want to do turbo or nitrous though. is the b17 or b18c better?stick with the b18.vtec or not.keep the b18.
b17 is just a stroked b16. You'll still have a torqueless wonder. Go with the b18c or if you want some thing cheaper go b20 or LsVtec. Do not get a b16 though.yeah. i just want something faster. i dont want to do turbo or nitrous though. is the b17 or b18c better?
damn they really suck that bad. thats diaappointing bcuz i can get one for a good deal. what r they good in crx or something?b17 is just a stroked b16. You'll still have a torqueless wonder. Go with the b18c or if you want some thing cheaper go b20 or LsVtec. Do not get a b16 though.
so my auto integra with the b18 wil beat or be neck and neck with an auto integra with a b16?Yeah basically, I would do a b16 swap in my d15 but otherwise b16s are pretty weak
Don't bench race. and don't put a b16 in your car. DO a 5 speed swap though.so my auto integra with the b18 wil beat or be neck and neck with an auto integra with a b16?
alright. thanks a lot guys. will the b20 b a hard swap to do?B16 will work with an auto trans, My friend's wife has one and has been running it for the past few months. everything is a direct bolt on and you can run everything that you have on your car now and run it. the only thing is wiring up the ecu for vtec and running the automatic trans. we are still in that process. we are currently waiting for a Japanese spec gsr auto trans Ecu and and will be trying to figure out all the wiring and what not. For what it's worth, keep the b18. B16's are a good cheap motor if you have to have "vtec" but with the lack of tq in a heavy 2g( compared to a civic hatch/crx) the trade off isn't that great. you get 20 hp + vtec but lose 20tq. if you want to make that auto faster, stick in a b20z and add some bolt on's. it's not going to be super crazy fast, but it will make more power stock than the b18 in stock trim.
No. It's still a b series, it still direct bolt in. B20 will be an easier swap because you wont have to wire up the Vtec. You still need a proper ECU though.alright. thanks a lot guys. will the b20 b a hard swap to do?
