A really great battle and close finish. I can't wait to drive at Laguna Seca...

DAMN! That was nuts! So what happened? Was was the ruling on that last bit of bumping/crash?

just checked the results on the ALMS site and it looks like they let that rubbing fly, Porsche won.

I would've done the same thing as the Porshe driver. I wouldn't let someone punt me without doing anything about it. The Corvette would've been in front in the beginning after he did the dive bomb. But he went in too hot into Corner 1 and both drivers crossed lines. I love how GT2 uses yellow headlights.

Yea, I would have done the same thing, but id would have also expected after I did that to be penalized. I mean he practically fish-tailed the vette. I guess they let it go because both were in the wrong so it cancels out. LOL

The vette could not have pulled off the dive bomb w/o that speed. If he did it perfect he would still wind up side by side. Id say he did the best he could, but the Porsche being on the right line was able to get on the gas sooner and pull ahead.

Im glad they made him drop back after that pit lane deal, that was bs. If that was legal track the Porsche would've blocked there, he was all the way to the edge of the legal track.


sucks for the vette team tho, they just fucked a car and kept the same position anyways

Yeah, there was no way the Vette would've gotten away with the short cut. It was a smart move though. I feel sorry for the Vette's team. That hit to the wall looked really bad. Crazy how the impact made the rear wing fly off.

Yeah that was pretty awesome. I'd hate to be the man to decide what stands and what doesnt on that final. I do feel bad for the vette team. Although it did appear the vette was abit faster through the race.

The Vette did seem much faster than the RSR. Just like we always hear at Speed Ventures. If there's a car right up on your ass, he's pulling off faster lap times than you. The Vette was getting a bit of understeer especially in the tight corners. I really like the way the new Vettes look. I just saw one about 10 minutes ago walking back to the office.

Yea the wall was fine but the PIT was too far. But then again tapping the Porsche on that last corner was planned and dirty! Tapping the rear of a rear engine rwd car like that on the exit of a corner completely fucks him for getting on the power. They were both playing dirty on that last lap.

i watched that race on TV... it was incredible the whole last hour. and if you think that was dirty racing and it was wrong and blah blah blah then you dont get racing... "rubbin' is racin' " and "if you aint cheating you aint winnin' "
