Alarm Research Time

Ok guys I'm wanting to get an alarm but I'm not wanting to spend a ton on it bc most of the time my car could be unlocked with the keys in it and no one would touch it... (Small farm town in MO... they are too busy stealing ATV's).

I just want a decent alarm for when I go to bigger cities. Also I want keyless entry bc I want to go with DB rear door handles eventually.

I want ur thoughts and experiences with alarms please and thanks

I have a Clifford Alarm on my car which I really like. Came with the car when I bought it...which I dont like. 3 out of the 4 buttons serve no purpose and I'm just now after 2 years able to figure out where everything is and how its wired up.

As for the actual alarm, its f***ing loud and sounds like an SWAT invasion is outside. Great for turning heads and waking the neighbors.

I had a Viper security system on my CB7 and currently have one on the DB8. They have never fail me and I've had no complaints so far.

Hey nighthawk and matt how much were your alarms? I don't really want to spend a ton just bc I don't really need one.. I'm not on either one of the coasts so hondas don't get stolen to often

Mines a Clifford G3 system...kind of outdated really. No idea how much it cost since it was the only "mod" on the car when I bought it.

I have the basic security system with keyless entry. It comes with two remotes. I got mine for $150.

No, not really. You can if you want to. Viper offers all kinds of add-ons like motion sensors, tilt sensors, backup battery, etc.

eh, I probably don't need it... if it works for you in CA then it will sure as hell work for me in MO lol
