The Game Plan

So next year late july/ early august, I will be driving the teg from western missouri to western north carolina for an annual TI meet (The Dragon) (and please spare all the negative talk I'm not here for that). I am getting ready to start my maintence over the next 6 mos or so to get ready for this. I need thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

This is what I have come up with so far. Btw car is a 99 GS with a pretty much stock b18b w/ automatic w/ 180k. Timing belt has about 20k on it as does the head. Also the air filter is in brand new condition.

Oil Change right before we leave... duh
Rotors all the way around (Leaning towards Brembo Blanks)
Pads (Leaning towards Hawks)
Spark Plugs
Plug Wires
Fuel Filter
Maybe a radiator flush..

Sounds good but what about the trans might wanna change the fluid and filter

Sounds good man. I would also suggest that you change your tranny fluid too. And just make sure everything is running properly. I would bascially do a track tech, which is a complete diagnostic of the entire car. And don't forget to check all your fluids and tire pressures.

Yeah I was just wanting to make sure I caught the stuff that might need to be replaced when you get up there in miles... stuff that isn't all the time... like every couple years or stuff that needs to be replaced when a girl that doesn't really take care of something needs to be changed.

Also the tranny fluid is clean but it will def be checked before we leave.

If you think everyone would get along lol, this meet is pretty sweet and its getting bigger every year. there were 60 cars last year from mostly the east coast but there were some from canada, the midwest, a couple from tx and one dude from cali. I am going with a group from stl that I have met before (slickwhiteteg is one of them). I'm pretty pumped for it

A friend of mine on TI went this year (he drove from LA to Dragon in S. Carolina). I gave him my old coilovers so he could make the trip and he said it was epic. I'd be so down if CI ppl went

Is it a green teg, that had a hula girl on the dash? Guess it had to be... there was only one from CA. Yeah its like 318 corners in 11 miles or some crap.

Yep, my friend Travis. We run canyons together every once in a while, he's good people. He's got ballzz for taking his teggy all the way out there and back.

I would love to do a road trip like that with a small group... I think there will be like 4 or 5 in the group I'm going in next year... should be a good time.
