ok guys I have a 91 integra, full cage car that I run on a circle track(asfalt) I got the car about 3 weeks ago, the first week I placed 11th the second week 3rd and this past week 3rd again. That's all the car's got. It handles like a dream but doesn't have enough gitty-up. it's a stock fresh built b18a1, where can I find more power while remaining"stock" appearing without breakin the bank?

A good start would be the basic bolt-ons. I/H/E (intake/header/exhaust). Does the racing series have any rules when it comes to engine modifications?

BTW, asphalt > asfalt

rules are: stock for year, make and model. so no headers, already did the exhaust. but here's a ? would the throttle body off an automatic be larger than the manuall trans cars' ?

no it will be the same size. Besides it wouldnt help you at all if you didnt have a new intake manifold

I'll get some up as soon as I can...lol. in the mean time, I'm desperate for just a little more speed(i'm not far off, maybe a tenth or so)... any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, but remember, it must go through tech and pass.... :???: the reason i'm so lost in this is because I have been racing a crate motor v8 car for the past few years, this is all new to me...and lots more fun...:D

If you have to stay stock then you're pretty well fucked unless you're going to make internal mods to get some extra power. You might try a port job on the head. If you do that though, you'll forfeit every race you placed in if they find out you modified the internals.

you could try lighter wheels? maybe reduce your spinning weight... i dunno if thats legal. cut out the cat? and why would you go from a V8 to a I4 for stock car racing?
