I'd still lean towards the master cylinder, even if it's not leaking.

:werd: internally your master cylinder seals can be worn out and leak... causing the piston not to compress the fluid and your pedal to just drop.

As a former DSM owner I need to ask you... Why did you trade a 93 TSi for a Da that doesn't even have brakes?
Did the guy you traded with apply lube before he raped you?
Your master cylinder could be leaking into the brake booster and you not see it. Also the booster could be bad. I'd replace both and go from there.

is the answer. i have the same issue. no leaks no loosing fluid but pedal goes to floor when u hold pressure on it

n booster wud not create that symptom. but i think he went bareback

check under the hood on passenger fender. its a kind of dispersing valve, or something like that. had a hole in mine and had to have someone looking under the hood while a hit the brakes, and you can see just a little bit of fluid loss. and loss of pressure as well.

i only had $400 in the talon.it needed alot of work and i needed something dependable to get back and forth from work and school.besides the brakes and the passenger side glass its a great car. so no I dont think i was raped on the deal.
