Incorrect...Prelude Si's are not a VTEC model and are slightly slower in the 1/4 mile than a GSRif its a prelude si, you'll get walked on
Actually I believe those years' Si are H23 NON-vtec.^^^ the OP asked about the previous model (94-96) prelude, and yes those lude Si's are Dohc Vtec also.
that douche tried to tell me his ran a 14.5...he told me at the last local meet it ran a 15.2 then he found out i was runnin 13.8's stock and tried to make his sound better.I remember my ex saying his vtec lude ran a 15
The Prelude Si is a turd. The 94-96 Prelude VTEC is the fastest USDM modelif its a prelude si, you'll get walked on
The 94-96 Prelude VTEC is faster than the 97-01. It's about dead even with the ITRITR > Prelude VTEC
Prelude VTEC > Integra GSR
yeah you were right, they had 3 models: S,SI and Vtec. My bad!Actually I believe those years' Si are H23 NON-vtec.
LOL,we don't get the good stuffI like how the MT article mentioned a Prelude Type R. Silly rabbits...
No kidding...read my text, it says Prelude VTEC. 5th Gen's never had a "Prelude VTEC." The only Prelude VTEC was a 92-96 Prelude. And NO 5th Gen were not DOHC VTEC. They had a crappy H23A1 hampsterwheel.^^^ the OP asked about the previous model (94-96) prelude, and yes those lude Si's are Dohc Vtec also.
I'm really glad Honda never went that route and kept "Type-R" sacred to a few vehicles that actually merited the term. That's basically what killed Chevrolet. They slapped "SS" on every vehicle that really didnt have any performance upgrades and no one knew wtf their models meant anymore.I like how the MT article mentioned a Prelude Type R. I absolutely agree with you. A Prelude Type R would've failed miserably. The front end of Preludes are too heavy. Honda would've needed to put the Prelude on an extreme weight reduction program. JUN happened to do something right with the BB4.I'm really glad Honda never went that route and kept "Type-R" sacred to a few vehicles that actually merited the term. If only the aftermarket was able to hold back from the R nuttiness.
