If it were me............H22. The "torque monster" (<--lol) of Honda 4 cylinders combined with their lightest car :naughty:

One of my friends had a H22A1 in a CRX with bolt-ons and it was pretty damn quick!

The handle will not suffer drastically. The H22 is only about 60lbs heavier than a B18C1. With a decent set of coilovers, you could virtually tune that weight difference out of the handling. Which shouldn't be too hard to do if you plan on doing mostly drag and daily driving.

Of course the decision is really your own. You can find an H for cheaper, but there's also more work involved to make it fit.

The weight issue comes from people listening to what their friends say, with no real background info. The H22 is not much heavier than the B18, which was previously stated.

There is no type S ones?

There is the H22a or the H23. H22 is Vtec and H23 is non-Vtec.

Agreed. The handling characteristics won't change that much. The added torque will make up for the harder weight transfers and then some. A nice set of tires and a good suspension build will help out a lot as well. Just be smooth and you'll be fine :thumbs up

H22 with a jdm spec b18 type r tranny or AKA h2b kit, this will actually almost get rid of that extra 60 pounds cause that comes from the huge h22 tranny....... the tranny is what makes the H22 heavy, so if you go with a type r tranny you will have an LSD, way better gear ratios, and it will be lighter......... just something to think about........

ohh and just a heads up i swapped a h22 in my buddies cb7 accord, we actually didnt like the h22 reliability wise, every thing kept on going out, all sensors, iac ect..... so if you get one most of the time they come from japan with all the sensors jacked up so be prepared to change some of them.............
