im not very knowledgeable in the audio department. i was looking to replace the 6.5" in the teg and was looking to you for recommendations. doesnt need to be super high performance, just looking for something that will sound good and wont hurt the wallet.

I bought my Alpine Type-S 6.5"s from onlinecarstereo.com. I didn't think my Alpines were overpriced. I bought 2 sets for $130, and shipping was free because it was over $100. I didn't want the best because I don't listen to the stereo much in my integra.

I personally really like JBL's Power Series, but if you're on a budget I'd recommend their GTO series.
But I also used to have Pioneers in my Civic before I switched to JBL and they still sounded pretty good, better than stock, but pretty heavy on the bass and prone to distortion.

i like alpine type-s's my brother has them in his eg and they sound real good. he mostly just overpowers with his subs and tweeters but when i drive it i turn those down and use the alpines. they pretty crisp imo.

I had Infinity Kappas on my teg, but theyre expensive, they need an external amp because they dont sound that good without it, but ohhh man behold if you got a nice deck and a external amp to power these,

really depends on what you listen to and what you want to spend. I listen too pretty much anything so I asked the guy at my local audio place and he recommended the alpine type-s. I put them in front and rear they sound real nice. my friends have pioneer, jl audio, sonys, all kinds and I think the alpines sound the cleanest and don't have too bad of bass either.

Integra's don't take a true 6.5 inch speaker. So don't be surprised when you order 6.5's and they don't fit.

Everyone's suggestions are good except for Pioneer. They make awful speakers. Also avoid Sony, anything from Walmart (sub grade products made specifically for Walmart's price point), Jensen, and Insignia.

I put 5.25's in the front and 6.5's in the rear and they dropped right in. you'll have to do some research and maybe some mods depending on the speakers you choose.
