no... if your on the free way you should be in the highest gear possible. those are just as fast as you could go in those gears... not that you need to drive at that speed in those gears

Why the hell would you want to drive around at redline? Just because 2nd gear will go 60mph doesn't mean you want to cruise around at 7000 rpms. That is just the maximum speed at redline in each gear

dude....say you are getting on the freeway...you typicaly will go faster and rev the engine higher just to get to freeway speeds. 1-4 are your drive gears with 5 being overdrive. ALL your accelerating should be in 1-4. 5 is just for fuel economy or unless your going so god damn fast that you need your 5th to go faster

WOW... just wow.. I am normally in 5th gear even in town lol

when u get real good u can even skip gears.. (2nd to 4th on a hard pull FTW lol)

uhhhh....yeah i do that actually....its usually 1st 2nd then 5th but i throw it into the other gears just to make the syncros happy. ....thats when im being a little kid and chirping gears =)
