well, infamous in 2nd gens but not familiar with DC. in my DA, from full tank to 1/2 tank i would think that im getting extremely good gas mileage, then from 1/2 - 1/3 tank to empty it would just bomb. a full tank would go above the "full line" and it would be 60 miles later and i would still have a full tank

lol and i thought my integ was my only car that did that
i fill it to the 1/2 mark and when i go full throttle... it goes down a bit lol.... but i think it might just be the old style bobber in the tank.... when the car jumps.
i searched for leaks and came out empty handed

Sounds just like the gas guage in my 95. It goes from 1/4 tank to empty in no time.

im fairly new to tegs. cars in general (only had my license a few months). so this makes me feel alot better about my db8, knowing that all of the tegs have this problem. but is there a way to fix this?

Its cuz there's a little thing in the tank that floats that's why when u stomp on it the gas level goes down (the bobber is moved down or whatev) or if u park on a slope its not accurate.

Mine is slow to show the level after I put gas in it. So much so that today I filled it up and by the time it caught up I no longer had a full tank. I was driving about half the day today. My wife's cousin's birthday was today. It's a 1 and a half hour trip each way. I've noticed it before. It seems like 5 minutes to catch up to the actual level.
