I am going to be swaping my USDM GSR cluster with a JDM GSR. Was curious how difficult its going to be? Is it direct plug and play or will there be some sort of kit i would have to pick up. Also i wanna change "roll" back the millage to 0...was curious about how to do that as well....any help would be great... i checked out the do it yourself page and didnt seem to see anything....any body thats done this would be awesome... thanks

Just call me chris.
Should be pretty strait forward.
You realize that rolling back the odometer is illegal in most, if not all, states.
ok making it zero is obviously illegal. but if i were to get a vtec cluster could i have it rolled to match the cluster im replacing?

Ya i dont think it will be that difficult to swap should be pretty easy......just never done it before thats all.....im pretty sure they are both OBD1 TOO....

ya i know its illegal but I want it at zero....im not going to sell the car i own it no payments....and plus the body has like 150k, motor like 55k and the tranny and cluster have 80k lol so its kinda Irrelevant what the milage actually says anyway... the new cluster says 140k any way so its not that far off from mine in there now...

I wouldn't do it regardless. I believe here in Tx that if you change the cluster(and they find out about it) the car will receive a salvage title. That's what I was told, so it's all just hear say at this point.

well that sucks about the cali thing cuz im moving to san diego at the end of september......the thing that is weird though is my title does not have any milage on it what so ever.......SO what im getting (i could be way off) is that even if i change the cluster it will recieve a salvage title? GTFOH cuz the cluster was already changed before i bought it......Thought it would be cool to have a ODOM with zero miles on it lol......guess its a bigger deal then i thought it was....

You should change the odo to the exact mileage the car has at the time of the swap. You will get raped by the DMV for that out here in Cali. They're really strict here, especially about bringing out-of-state cars in because of emissions, so the car's record had better be spotless. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to help you out man, cuz Cali is WAY strict when it comes to cars; basically the strictest state in The Union lol.
