Need Help Asap!!!! Check Engine Light On!!!!

I drive a Reject Special
i JUST Had that replaced though. like taht shit is BRAND NEW. plus it would start up so it cant be the distributor. i had been having a lil bit of problems with the putting and what not but it had run fine other wise untill this problem. my dizzy went out a few weeks ago but we put a new one in.

where did you get it from?was it rebuilt. i got one from autozone and it went bad the same week:(

na, i went to a shop and had it replaced i did not do the replacing. I got it replaced about a month ago. Its been working fine since. I installed a header the other day, didnt realize that the header was as big as it was and it melted one of the radiotor fans. i noticed a minute ago that the fuse for the fan is fried. now keep in mind this is the fan that is connected to the engine harness. now if that fuse got fried, maybe something else got fried as far as wiring goes. but that still doesnt explain why it runs fine after the check engine light goes on.

could i have fried other sensors or something? i just dont get why it runs normal after the CEL goes on.

check all you wiring, when the light is on its on default, check your o2 sensor

i think i am going to just take it up to a shop and have them install a slim line fan and see also what it could be, i would install the fan myself but i can get it done on my own.

so i figured out to to install the new fan that i got. going to do that today or tomorrow. i also installed a new fuse into the cooling fan fuse port that was blown and then going to reset the ECU. once we get the fan connecting and working. going to maybe take it up to a shop if it doesnt fix the problem.

In A Way Yes If Ur Having Timing Issues Thats And Epic Problem If U Had Someone Else Do Ur Work For You Check And Double Check What Was Done And If The Timing Is Exact Im Still New To Hondas Im More Into Building Rotary Engines But If Ur Timings Off It Would Cause A Similar Problem To What U Have And Have U Checked Ne Of You Knock Sensors? If Ne And What Did Ur Ecu Codes Throw Again? Tdc Rite? Is There Possibly A Knob Missing Out Of Your Timing Belt Thats Causing Sliping?
 
you told me u put on a USED distributor and now told me that the shaft wiggles.. you need to replace the distributor again and this time don't cheap out and buy a NEW distributor..

i honestly dont think its the timing.i could be wrong, but if it was and it was way off it wouldnt run as good as it does. even if it was of a little bit it wouldnt run as good as it was. it could be. but i doubt it.
 
I apologise someone else with a similiar name just told me they did...

EITHER WAY.. If you bought the part new return it as a defect and get a new one... a blind person could swap the distributors out.. you cant install it wrong.. just mark the bolt down spots so u can put it back in the same way u pulled it.. the dizzy teeth are different sizes so it only goes on the cam one way.
