ighty well i jus recently bought a 93 integra... i am new to acura/integras period.... i have some car knowledge mainly jus wut ive learned working on cars with my dad and uncle... im still no where near the point where i would say i kno a lot.... im a 22-re head aka a yota guy.... but my dad has a civic and when it came time to buy a new car i decided ill buy an integra... and i stumbled apon a 2nd generation wit the b18c1

some questions:
well i bought my acura off a family man. when i got it the car was a complete "virgin" lol it seriously was as stock as when he bought it off the lot. it only had 132k miles on it... when i got it i flushed everything put synthetic oil and syn transmission fluid, anti freeze... replaced oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket and a few other gaskets water pump and fuel pump were done while he had it i believe... he kept all the recordes and i have them in the car and i replaced a busted cv joint... i have recently order a brand new exhaust system headers back and 2.5in piping... short ram intake... high preformance dist cap, rotor, ngk spark plugs, 10.2mm wires, and external coil... i was wondering what else would be a good idea to invest in for my car... im 17 and i pretty much been working just to fix up this car... i want it to be a "sleeper" it looks quiet stock jus all blacked out with limo tint... the only thing holding me back is that its an automatic not a 5 speed... but if i dont stumble on a supra (my dream car) by the end of college ima jus do a tranny swap so then iill have my five speed

and as far as the performance chips... do they actually work at all and is there anything special you have to do to get the full effect

First off, welcome to the wonderful world of Honda/Acura and CI! It seems like you have the basics (intake/header/exhaust). Now, you said the car was bone stock but it has a B18C1 in it? You realize the C1 didn't come in 92's right? Did you swap it? Sorry if this sounds like a douchey question I just wanna make sure we're all on the same page about which motor you have.

Anyway, the next thing you could do if you wanna stay N/A is get some cams and valvetrain, and a tune.

DO NOT BUY A 'ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL' CHIP!!! It will make you run rich and probably fuck with the vtec engagement and spark timing. If you're B18C1 is not already and obd1 motor, get a converter harness and then tune it on something like Crome or Hondata.

PS - Post up some pics!

its a c1... its like a freak car... its a 93 but we're guessing it was one of the last ones made and maybe they jus decided to put in the 3rd generation engine to test it out... it seriously is a b18c1... i didnt believe it so i showed my uncle who is a mechanic and other mechanics also said the same and my friends brother who works on hondas and ... its a "B" ording parts for it... some part i have to order for the 3rd gen integra well as far as the motor... its the 1.8 dohc with the vtec 170 hp... its not the 1.7 dohc with the vtec or the 1.8 dohc with out the vtec... its a freak accident i guess... i dont even kno if its an ls, gs, or wut

at another site they were like i have a very rare integra on my hands

someone swapped the motor then. you couldnt even get auto b18c1's in the united states. you can however, get them imported. chances are you either dont know what you are talking about and its not a b18c1 (no pun intended) or it has an imported auto b18c1 in it. it is not factory; post some pictures and we will be able to tell you.

the engine code is on the block where the head and block meet on the left side.

Yeah take some pictures. It might be and LS/vtec auto or something?

Do not, under any circumstances use a pre-made chip. As I briefly explained above, they make the car run really rich and you may end up losing power/getting terrible fuel economy. If you want to chip your car get a Moates chipping kit or something, then have it dyno tuned (or at the very least, street tuned) with Crome.

There's not much of a reason to chip your car with stock internals anyway. If you ever add cams/pistons/do head porting etc., you'll have to re-tune it.
