what up guys. i got a 99 gsr im goin to lower it but wondering if i should turbo it i dont know yet its alot of money, but if i do what brand of kit should i buy, would be best for my car ?
I agree. A turbo will be worthless without any suspension work. And there's a lot to it, rather than just bolting on the turbo, manifold, piping and intercooler. No one ever really considers the issue's they're going to run into while trying to get it running right after boosting it. Leaks, etc. Tuning is a big factor. Your biggest concern should be the fact that you have a High Compression motor. It is likely to have something go wrong with it, especially due to the stock high rev limit. But what's the point of having a GSR and not revving it high? I blew a hole in my piston #4 when I had my stock GSR turbo'd. Now I'm onto much better things with my new motor. Honestly, I'd say go for cleanliness first. Suspension, tires, wheels maybe, lip kit. Then get yourself a LS block, or another GSR block and start building it slowly but surely. JE or CP low compression forged pistons, Eagle H-Beams, ACL or King Race bearings, possibly even sleeve it. If not, then block guard.Well me personally would get some good suspension..also an alarm first.Integra's have a very high theft rate.
I wouldnt say they lose 50% of their reliability...It's all in the tuning and if the driver doesnt beat on it on every corner he takes. If its taken care of properly it should last.FN.. nice car... love the stance and the lip.
To the OP.. Turbo is awesome. but IME most turbo cars are just a fun car and loose over 50% of their reliability. Just be in this for the long run if u decide to do it..
