JDM.. the clutch disc really has nothing to do with the "on or off" feel just the ability to hold more power.. Its the pressure plate and the fact if the disc is sprung or unsprung on the hub..

a 6puk SPRUNG clutch is very easy IMO/IME to drive.. I never have a problem..

Unsprung hubs are more of a bitch lol

im a noob too....i find it very hard to drive a 6 puk and 3 puk clutches i always forget i have to rev higher than a full circular one 6 puk has no play for me...its go or stop 3 puk is a little better

Having a sprung hub actually has little to do with the engagement. The sprung hub just damps out torsional vibrations and is only capable of aiding a very minimal amount of engagement cushioning since the spring gets fully compressed after just a few degrees.

The marcel mpring is what helps the engagement the most. Having a marcel spring allows you to be able to spread the engagement out over as many degrees of rotation as you want. Also friction material, flywheel weight and clamping force have large effects. Clamping force has the most pronounced effect since i higher clamping load requires more leg effort and makes modulating the marcel spring tougher.
