This past Sunday, I was feelin good all day as i pulled some very good times at the track. I walked the course four times and memorized the all the cones and bumps in the cement. The Civic performed very well also. This time around the car was pushed to it's limits but not over. My 205/40/16 RT-615 did very well that day in 89 degree weather. I ran in the H-stock class and H-stock-novice/rookie class. In the Novice class, they compare times between drivers instead of cars in classes. I won that class with flying colors. My fastest clean time was a 56.897 and when calculated thru some strange multiplier, my “driver/skill” time was a 46.543 or close to that. The nearest guy to me was about two seconds away. In AutoX, 0.5 seconds is already a huge gap so 2 seconds is a major gap. I came in second place for the H-Stock class because it was basically impossible to beat an XRS corolla driven by a National Champ, who is sponsored by TRD, Hoosiers, etc.... He’s name is Kevin Yeap and I’ve been taking pointers from him. So some credit goes to him for my win. On a side note, I was able to beat a lot of modified cars. I was running the “overall average time” for the day. Fastest time of the day was a 49.458 by a special edition Z06 on Slicks, also driven by a national champ. All the modified Evo’s and STI’s were running 51.8 to 53.0 ranges. Like I said before, my fastest time was a 56.987, so i did pretty good for a stock LX with Si shocks. My best raw time was a 56.547 but had one cone. So I can out to 58.547, sucks +2 secs per cone.
So now, i can no longer run in the AutoX competition as a Novice. I must run as a normal/professional racer as the big boys. It really feels good to graduate from being a Rookie/Novice. I even got a cone trophy for winning.

My old s2000, driven by my brother xay in A-Street_Prepared. My car is in the back. I ran faster then the S2000 also.
