its about a month away from when i start buying parts for the system but i wanted some opinions on what good set ups you could get for diff price ranges.

price covers, headunit, subs, box, amp, wiring.

$300 setup
$400 setup
$500 setup

and what is worth it

Fat guy in a little coat.
500 dollars can buy you 2 subs and a box.

you need a little more instruction as to what your looking for.

anything red and says "sony" is crazy overpriced., try performace techinique for amps.

Shoot, okay my setup cost probably 1,500 or so.
RF T600-2-$300
T600-4- $300.00
Alpine headunit (I forgot which one but its pretty nice)-$300.00
4 P1's (which i got for 50 bucks a piece at best buy)-$200.00
RCAs-$90.00
Power Wire-im not sure because I bought like 50 ft from knukonceptz but for my system i probably used 25 ft.- so like $75.00
I had the box built for me from a shop-$400.00

Don't PM me, just make a thread, then everyone can read my answer, and others can chime in too.

A quality amp is gonna cost around 1$ per RMS watt, use that as a guide.
I recommend Alpine head units, you can get decent one nowadays for less than $200.

and dont buy any amp that list its peak wattage. quality amps are usually underrated and listed in RMS. I have a kicker zx750... birthsheet was 880rms

I got two 15" JBL GT5 Subs in a sealed eBay box. Rockford Fosgate Power speakers all around (5.25 front, 6.5 rear). Kenwood Head Unit. Power Acoustik 2000 Watt Amp. Cost me $700 total including wiring kit, RCAs etc. IT FUCKING SLAPS. Btw I have a hatchback so it has awesome acoustics.

These Pecision Power amps on Ebay look good. They were both made in either 1997 or 1998 (I'm a PPI buff is how I know, lol): HERE and HERE
They both have built in crossovers too, which is a feature you'll definitley need to run subs.

I have the 6 channel version from this generation of PPI amps in my Teg.

Old school PPI from 1993 to 2003 is the shiz.

if i was you i would do kicker. kickers stuff is way under rated. and its fairly cheap. i have one 12 inch kicker and i hit way harder than anybody in my city. its all about matching an amp that can push your sub with a decent sub. you dont need like 4 12s to hit lol. just match your amp right with your sub and your good to go.
