need help please, trouble starting

ohh, i didnt realize it was starting. absolutely timing will cause poor acceleration and low idle.

get the book and make sure ur timing points match up with the grove on head, did u try adjusting the screw on the t/b? what mods do u have?

just in take and short throw and exhaust but its not that the motor shacks alot i am gonna see if the timing is off

i took out the plugs to look at them and they are all like black besides cylinder 2 that one still looks brand new. So what does that mean?

and it is not the timing the timing is dead on with the points the cams gears line up when the marks on the oil pump line up

It means that cyl #2 is not firing and your ECU is running the other 3 super rich to try to compensate for it.

My guess....and this is just a guess..... is that the #2 fuel injector is bad or disconnected. By chance do you have any CEL codes?

i have OBD1 so i dont get codes right, but the CEL isn't on

you do get codes and you need to jump the 2 wire plug that "goes to nothing" near the glovebox under the dash. I'd be willing to be it gives you a code for inj. #2.

okay then i jump iy i turn the ignition and just count how many times it blinks and then look it up

UPDATE: its not the injector because i put injector for cylinder 2 in place of cylinder 4 and put cylinder 4 into cylinder 2 and it is the same thing the spark plug in cylinder 2 is looking brand new, and the plug is still wet on the bottom when i take it out. so what else can this be. i noticed at the corner or the head on the left by the radiator hose there is oil slowly leaking out is it possible i need a new head gasket could the be why cylinder 2 is not working? PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP

another thing to add there are no CEL codes
