Yes, you need the full shift assembly off the Accord. They use two cables and the teggy uses a single shifting rod. Completely different setups.

Yes you need the resistor box. It sounds like you know how to hook it up, but just in case the red wire goes to +12V switched and the black wires (doesn't matter which ones which) go to the + connection of each injector.

The only way you could use the Accord crank pulley is if you swap over the Accord A/C and P/S parts since the ribs on the belt are differnt. More work than I think is worth. Just get the right pulley to begin with.

And I think you asked it earlier but I didn't reply.....you CANNOT use the cam gears off the Accord. Get the ones for the H22. Any 92-01 VTEC lude gears will work.

Just thought I'd clarify... the +12V switched needs to be powered during cranking or your car will not start! lol

hmmm....

B18C1 - 170hp / 128tq

H22A - 207hp / 167tq

Starting with a solid foundation will only make creating power easier and less expensive. $200-500 into the H22 with simple bolt-ons and he could have 200hp to the wheels. It would cost a lot more and require more than just bolt-ons to get 200hp to the wheels with the C1.

To use the typical quote for this comparison - "There's no replacement for displacement".

Both are about the same as far as part prices go, so I know which one I'd choose ;)

yeah but you have to get more stuff for an H22 swap to fit in a integra, a b series is just drop it in and go. everyone has their own opinion though, I have never been big on motor swaps to begin with.

I can keep up with my friend's H22-swapped CB7 just fine on the straights. Then again, my DB8 is lighter.

Ugh, so now I need to find somebody that's selling a shifter box off an accord....

Yeah, i'll just buy an aftermarket crank pulley and underdrive belt then.

So for the resistor box, you have to wire it up different? Supposedly you could just splice it into the existing wiring harness and dead-end plug on the driver side.

Another question: Can I use F22 spark plug wires? I still need plug wires, and my buddy might have some I can take.

Well, one big reason we went for the H22 was because it was such a good deal. And because H22 swaps aren't that common. And because I can just lie and tell people it's a B16, when it's really making 40hp more than a B16. And most importantly, it makes a ton more torque.

UPDATE:

This build is going to go a lot slower than previously thought. Since the clutch went out on the B18B1, we've gotta figure out what to do... If we gotta spend money on the B18, it's going to detract the spending for parts for the H22......

Yeah thankfully. We've got an extra car.... Damn slow ass 2002 Saturn SOHC 1.9L. That thing is so slow, but it's so much fun Lol.

Yes, I just went a little further and actually explained what those wires go to. lol

Oh ok thanks.

So, do you know if it's possible to use F22 spark plug wires on the H22A? I'm on a serious budget now Lol.

I'm going to have to sell my Turbo Kit and my 86 Corolla to fund the H22A swap.... Sigh, oh how i'm going to miss that Corolla. Lol

i can say this...my friend used his d series wires on his b16 when he swapped it for a while...

Well I don't have either a D16 or a B16. Lol.... I've tryed my stock B18B wires on the H22 and they don't fit.

I haven't yet tryed my Upgraded wires on the H22 yet. They are significantly longer than the stock ones. When we got them, I wasn't even sure they were for an Integra lol
