the easiest is to get wrinkle finnished paint at autozone and use the aircraft stripepr to take off the paint

I saw the wrinkle black but will it hold up being in the engine bay since its so hot? I figured I would need a high temp paint.

Strip the valve cover, then use High temp primer. Get the wrinkle black paint spray it on. If you dont want to wait stick it in an oven for about 10-15 min.

If you leave it outside, some parts may not wrinkle so personally, I suggest an oven. OPEN ALL YOUR WINDOWS AND DOORS.

hit it with a high temp clear. That paint will hold up fine. Ive dont it on countless valve covers.

i did mine in wrinkle black as well. krylon is the best. you dont need super high temp paint, your valve cover never gets at any extreme temperature like a header or exhaust would
