i have my motor apart right now waiting ont a couple parts coming this friday. 5-30 quaker state peak performance is what i was thinking of using but im not sure now that i was looking at that chart of oils.(thank you for getting that info for me) Now im thinking i want to use royal purple breakin oil but the price is big just to replace every 100 miles then 500 miles. will it be worth it?? and what is a good tranny oil also bc im rebuilding it also?? thank you for your help and info on this subject....

Oreillys generic oil is actually just Valvoline so I use that. People charging 40 bucks a quart for "break in oil" is a scam, that's capitalism at it's finest. Get a magnetic drain plug, that will help get all the metal shavings out.
