Built LS/Vtec

I'm kind of new to the game, but some dude is trying to sell his built LS/Vtec (entire engine) for 1700 plus keep my stock ls. Is this a good deal?

Depends on the condition and mileage. I honestly wouldn't buy a built engine. Never know if it's good or not. Build an LS/VTEC motor youself.

I know all of the guys that built the engine. But, I don't know if I'm getting worked. You know what I mean, is it a good deal or not? Everything is in good condition, mileage is low.

How low? Do you know the exact mileage?

is it still in a running car, so you can start it up, hear it, do a leak and comp test, and if everything checks out then maybe, but i still wouldnt pay that much for an ls/vtec. is just a stock b18b with a stock vtec head

I've seen it race. It ran hard. It was dyno'd a few months ago in a different car, put out 230/hp. It's built.

If they all of a sudden want to sell it, and replace it with your stock motor, there may be something wrong with it. Either that, or with the money they hope to make, they will make a new motor and have cash left over. So if you add it up, 1700.00 + your motors value (would depend on miles and how well it was taken care of) and you have the price that you would be paying in total.

Is the seller including everything with the motor? Ecu, dizzy, oil pump, etc?
