so, like the title said, my car died... in the middle of the road.. wtf... 3 days ago, i tried to get my radio out to get the codes, but for some reasons.. after im done with it, the clock didnt turn on nor the stock cd player. Didnt pay that much attentions to it it anything.. until today after dropping my valentine off, my odometer meter didnt even go up when i rev or drive and the lights was fading away..slowly.. i was hoping to make it home, but when i step on the gas, the car didnt even move..then thats when, the whole car shut down.. COMPLETELY! WTF! so i tried to steered it into the side hoping to start again.. but no workie.. any inputs? or anything info? plz this is urgent :(

my friend had the similar problem i replaced his starter or alternator to fix the problem. in the end he replaced both so i dont remember which fixed the problem. but kragen will usually check them for you free i believe to see if they work.

Cant be the starter; car wouldnt have died in the middle of the road. Unless you seriously screwed up driving. If you have access to another car, connect jumping cables to each battery. If you have power again, its alternator/battery. If you dont have power, then its something else. Fuse, wiring, etc.

kragen is like autozone. but i guess its not a west coast place?
well i dont know id guess my friend had his starter fixed first and it worked but i really dont remember. i just remember he died in the middle of the freeway and i had to save his butt. well id have them checked regardless.
a bad starter is still connected to the electrical system so it could be messing things up? i dont know just throwing out ideas

good new! found the problem! yay!! bad new. gotta tow it back home -_- poopie.. so, the string that connected to the alternator..snapped -_- no wonder i couldnt get the power... any you guys have the same prob? or know how to fix steps by steps.. i might attempt this myself since i'll probably going to waste all my $$$ freaking towing. -_- ..unless its soo easy that i'll just fix it there and drive it home.. hehe opinions and ideas are appreciated =)
