4g63(dsm) swap into a 91 teg

Ive seen a 4G63 in an EG hatch. It took swapping engine and trans, custom axles, a full DSM wiring harness and gauge cluster, not to mention AEM stand alone. Also, it wasnt AWD, it was still FWD.
There is a reason that this type of swap is rare, plus I dont think that the all wheel drivetrain swap will be accomplished before you give up. Unless your a master fabricator with a CNC in your garage, youre getting in over your head.
Dont waste your time. If you want AWD and boost, have a DSM ,Subie, or Mazdaspeed6. Dont create an atrocity just because it sounds cool.
Just my $.02 worth

there have been plenty of AWD integra's. Shit a guy I went to school with had one. It was basically right from a CR-V. He was CR-V awd, B20 boosted. There was that one famous one that could be converted to RWD and they drifted it. There was also that guy that converted his Integra to a MR. Actually got to meet him, beautiful build...

but yea there are a couple of AWD Integra builds ive heard of. The cost really isnt worth it, but it is neat. As for 4G63, ive never seen one in a integra. But in civics....

its not new... So since Integra's and civics arnt much different it shouldn't be that different. here is a thread on the swap....

BINGO....... for a fraction of the cost of a 4G63 Integra, or MR Integra or AWD integra build you can just buy a WRX, MS6, EVO, and for a 1/4 of the cost a GSX, or GST.

Thats just about everything I had planned on ...cept for the awd wasnt sure if I was gonna be able to pull it off or not but im sure as hell still gonna try if it doesnt pan out ill be happy with fwd, theres also a cx hatch with the same setup supposedly running high 11s that I believe is fwd. And by any means im not a master fabricator haha but I have a hell of alota help backin me with doin this plus worse case scenario I can go get some help from one of the 3 import shops by my house with some of the fabrication. Its also not just because it sounds cool its something different that I wanna attempt everyone and there mamas build bs ds and now ks and put em into our cars ...and of course theres nothing wrong with that there amazing engines, but I happen to have access to the free 4g63 and on the side will be building my other teg with the b18a1. Plus Ive been a fan of the DAs ever since I can remember and have no plans on changing it up to a new vehicle till ive beat building em to death hahaha. But ty on all the input honest input is always the best! And it is gonna be one hell of a task no doubts about it thats why im giving my self plenty of time to try an attempt it.

Oh yea this reminds me of Forza Motorsports 2!!! Why not just do like a B or K with 4WD? Possible parts...? Maybe some stuff off of the CR-V? I know that in FM2 you can have K24 4WD Integras and Prelude swaps... I've never heard of those stuff personally...
thats a nice idea....but the reason im not gona build a k is simply because I have a free 4g63 Ks are freakin expensive! lol not to say that this project is going to be cheap but still free motor vs several thousand more for another one... and everyone seems to be building em as its the new thang I wana do something a different ...guess its just my way of trying to stand out amidst the crowd. but we will see what happens! wish me luck! ill be posting pics when this madness starts kicking off this summer.

ty for the link! ive seen a few civics that have done it so far online ...but I cant find anyone whos done it in an integra, A good friend of mine said he knows someone whos done the 4g63 swap with a fwd setup and it came out nice but ive yet to meet this person...ill have to try and find him and talk to him about what all he had to do. And I was actually thinking the same thing about the civic to integra comparison if its been done in plenty of civics it cant be too much more or less difficult to get it into an integra.

NICE. Thanks for all the pics and proof that its been done succesfully many times, adds fire to my vision LOL. Reinforces my thoughts that it can and will be done. I got a long interesting road ahead of me :)

Really, is it really going to be worth all your work???

Honestly, just swap in a K23 RDX turbo motor with the 4WD trans or something.... Or K20 /w the 4WD trans i dunno, just don't go with a Mitsu motor in a Honda.... Sure it may be different, but it's not worth the $5k in custom fabrication let alone sourcing the motor, wiring harness, custom axles, driveshafts, motor mounts, trans mounts, and a engine management system......

Also, my .02 cents..... If you have $10k to spare, go for it. But if you're an average dude, I recommend not getting in over your head to the point of no return and having to scrap the car....

Plus who would buy a car with this swap? I know I wouldn't... it could be the coolest thing ever... its still a risk swap that might have tons of problems.

Basically, if you have to ask if you can pull this off...chances are you probably can't. People that attempt swaps and fabrications like this generally have extensive knowledge of what their working on and/or mechanical engineering backgrounds. You'll basically be starting with a bare Integra frame and fabricating 90% of the car from scratch. I hope you have one hell of a tool set and garage.
