You Buggin' Out
I'm not the one who isn't keen on sarcasm.

my thoughts exactlyIt's because you are "granny shifting and not double clutching like you should"
my thoughts were granny shifting was a slower shift rather than slamming it into gear.is double cluthing really all that superior to granny shifting?
Good rev matching works as well. I can shift my cars without using the clutch. It's all finesse and revmatching. If the input and output shaft are spinning at the same exact speed, it will line up and slide right in. Trust me, I drove my car home from Galveston (80 miles) with the master cylinder completely blown out. Didn't grind a single gear. You can't come to a complete stop though lolmy thoughts were granny shifting was a slower shift rather than slamming it into gear.
Double clutching is for older cars. you had to pop it in neutral and then get it into gear by pressing in the clutch again. It was only used for downshifting. I think it was because there were no syncros?
thanks for that. i didnt have a clue... i just knew it was more thought than neededmy thoughts were granny shifting was a slower shift rather than slamming it into gear.

i finally tried that a few days ago. it was interesting and kinda scary at first but it definately works. not something i wanna have to do thoGood rev matching works as well. lol i thought the same thingsamari blue was right about the double clutching on cars with no syncros...btw its way slow and not nessary for our cars lol
lol i just started to learn that. kind of did it weird at first for some reason...my foot always ended up on the gas pedal instead of continuing to be on the break...ive almost gotten down heel-toe and that works wonders as well
yea i have...like from 5th to 3rd, but thats the only timeDoes anyone skip gears when downshifting?
On accident or on purpose? I'll coast in fifth until the light turns green then shift into which ever gear I need to, 2nd,3rd,or 4th. I have the HARDEST time getting into first from any kind of a coast. I have to rev it to like 4-5k to get it into 1st when im going a couple mph.Does anyone skip gears when downshifting?
That's because you're not supposed to be in first unless you are going 5mph or stopped. On accident or on purpose?
