would you buy an integra with a theft recovery title? The car looks perfect.
Is there a down side to this?
Would this lessen the value of the car or not affect the buying price(should the price be blue book or less)?

Keep on Truckin
imo there is nothing wrong with buying a "salvaged car" when its due to theft. but, make sure they didnt completly fuck up the ignition system, and find out what was touched by the thieves. but i have heard of some DAMN GOOD deals on really NICE cars because of titles like that. so if i were you i would look into the car and if it passes your inspection low-ball the shit out of them and see ust how much it will take off the price.

Also be aware that you will not be able to sell the car for very much five or so years down the road. Most buyers don't ever take a second glace at salvage cars, I suggest keeping any and all paperwork documenting the car's theft and what happened during the theft.

nothing from nowhere
it will definately be harder to sale. yes it would affect the value of it,but if its cheap enough id buy it.

Wait... What?
there's nothing wrong with it except that you will not be able to get anything near what its worth. Just decide if you would want to sell it or not. If no then get it, assuming everything else on the car is ok

First post, WOOT! I just purchased a salvage/rebuilt title car a week ago. 2001 GSR coupe with 120k miles for $4500. The car is in absolute perfect condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Never any body damage, no wrecks, no blown engine. All vins match, original motor. The car was stolen like 5 years ago, and the only things taken from it were the gauge cluster and back seat. Both were replaced by the previous owner, and the new gauge cluster has less than a 100 mile difference than the original. Before I purchased the car, I had the owner take it to a shop I had chosen, and they did a full inspection. Everything came back squeaky clean! I plan on keeping the car until I graduate from college, then turn it into a road race, or an autocross car, so the salvage/rebuilt title as little or no effect on me.

Good luck with your decisions!

Damn! Thats too much IMO for a salvage title car even with that low of miles.... GSR's with clean titles go for that much.....

I'd only get it for like $5000 or less
