torn cv boots!!!!!!!help!!!!!

how easy is this to fix? mine looks terrible. its the outer passenger cv boot

you have to take the axel out and pop the joint off to put the new boot on. if its been broken for a while your better off gettin a new axel though.

ohhh thats really really bad

I heard its pretty tough to change those, I got mine replaced at the honda dealership my pops works at.
buy one of those repair manuals if you want to do it yourself. they give you great step by step instructions on everything pretty much.

from my experience its much easier to change the axle and would be cheaper from a local parts store..

what about one of those split boots ???
Can i just cut the old one off and put a split boot on.

the split boots are worse than a torn boot and also leak out the grease..

yes, but once the boot is torn pretty much the axle is bad.

go to autozone and buy a new axle, cost about $75 and have warranty. you can swap it out yourself, you need an axle nut and basic metric hand tools.
